We are pleased to present Financially Free Ducks, a podcast for the University of Oregon community. Each episode is geared toward redefining what a conversation around personal finance can be. Our mission is to empower UO students, faculty members, staff, and others to gain confidence and knowledge through shared stories and experiences. We are helping the Duck community move closer to having the awareness to make smart financial decisions during and after college.

Katie Harbert, an Assistant Athletic Director who leads University of Oregon's Student-Athlete Development, shares her insight into the dimensions of holistic wellness and the role finances can play in overall wellness. Katie discusses emerging adulthood and how awareness is the first step when it comes to finding your identity and understanding your financial situation. She will leave you wondering how you can establish Plan A’s in multiple areas of life.

 


Ep.02 Professor Peel's Financial Journey

Stephanie Peel, a University of Oregon Professor of Practice in the School of Accounting shares lessons learned in her 30-year career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Professor Peel explores three of the most important moments in her financial journey that has led to where she is today. This episode emphasizes the importance of the work the Financial Wellness Center is doing and how finding a community you can trust to discuss finances can greatly impact everyone's financial journey.
